Dr. Karleen Gribble


Karleen Gribble is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Western Sydney University, a member of the Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IYCF-E) Core Group and an Australian Breastfeeding Association Community Educator and Counsellor. Her research interests include adoptive breastfeeding, long-term breastfeeding, peer-to-peer milk sharing and the parenting and care of maltreated children. She is a two-time winner of the Mary Paton Award for Breastfeeding Research. Karleen is active in policy development, advocacy, research and training in the area of IYCF-E. She frequently provides advice to UN organisations, NGOs and governments on IYCF-E and was co-author of the ILCA position paper on IYCF-E.
