Dorothea Jensen


Dorothea Jensen was born in Boston, and grew up in Chillicothe, Illinois. (This is the same little town where Johnston McCulley, the writer who created Zorro, grew up many years earlier.) She majored in English Literature at Carleton College and earned a master's degree in Secondary Education at the University of New Mexico. She has served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in South America, tutored refugees in ESL, taught junior high and high school English, and written grant proposals for arts organization. She performed light opera for a number of years in Philadelphia (Gilbert & Sullivan Players) and in Minneapolis (Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company and Ex Machina Baroque Opera Company.
