David McHardy Reid


Dr David McHardy Reid is Professor of Global Business Strategy at Seattle University. Previously he held multiple international business leadership roles in universities, including Rochester Institute of Technology, and Curtin University (the largest business school in Australia). And before that he was the Director of the Doctoral Program at the University of Hong Kong, MBA Director at the University of Edinburgh, as well as 15 years of business experience including a stint with Unilever in international marketing. David has been researching the strategies of foreign companies in Asia for over 20 years, and has worked with over 600 CEO's and other senior executives, primarily in: China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Myanmar. He has published around 100 papers, three books and numerous articles in management journals, mainly on international strategy with respect to China and Japan. He has consulted to major corporations on both corporate and business strategy.
