For over 20 years, Lina has been engaged in innovation in the public, private & NGO sectors. She has worked with public companies like Walmart & Starwood, public agencies like Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, NASA, US EPA, & SF Environment, & NGOs including SVEP & ASBC.
Lina is the Founder of Innovation 4.4, focused on the deployment of solutions most relevant to meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement & the UN SDGs.
StartupNectar, the biomimetic technology incubator Lina founded, focused on commercializing solutions based on nature’s strategies. In 2013 it was a finalist in the NASA/SSV Showcase of Solutions for Planetary Sustainability. In 2015, Lina founded the Risk and Value Creation Institute to shift more capital to impact investing.
Lina is a recipient of the international RE:STORE award for her future of retail design. She is a frequent speaker & university lecturer on innovation, impact investing, the evolution of global financial systems, and applied economics.
