Elizabeth M. Benson, MEd, RN, FCN, FACHT
Elizabeth Benson is an engineer by education, a nurse and educator by vocation, and became
an inventor/entrepreneur by desperation. Ms. Benson blends aspects of nearly 40 years’ experience as an RN and education specialist into designing/ developing disruptively innovative products to improve realism in clinical education, which in turn improves healthcare delivery. Her clinical experience includes EMS and Emergency, Critical Care, and Faith Community Nursing. Ms. Benson designed and implemented retention strategies/tools for nursing students and taught 15 years at the college level. She is an award-winning Core Trainer for the National
Capitol Region Emergency Preparedness Campaign and member of Phi Delta Kappa, Johns Hopkins Chapter. Ms. Benson was recently recognized with the Nightingale Innovative Nurses Award and in Babes Who Hustle, for current innovations and work encouraging girls to enter STEM. Regardless of the environment, Ms. Benson has one goal–improved patient outcomes.
