Sean W Karp
With 10 Emmy nominations in the last 3 years, Sean W. Karp is an established and in-demand sound editor and mixer. Serving as Supervising Sound Editor & Mixer at Sinking Ship Productions, Sean leads a team of up to 12 people that elevate the audio on TV shows like “Dino Dan: Trek’s Adventures,” “Annedroids,” and “Odd Squad.” Sean specializes in developing young talent, and has developed a wide range of techniques and approaches that have led him to widespread respect from both showrunners and peers.
Sean has been working professionally as post audio sound editor and re-recoding mixer since 2000. Based in Toronto, Sean got his start in the 90’s as a musician playing in bands in the local music scene. In that experience Sean found working in the studio on album projects to be what was most creatively stimulating and rewarding. So, in 1999, he took a year off and enrolled in The Harris Institute of the Arts to study audio engineering and production.
