Hubert Yoshida
Hubert Yoshida is the chief technology officer of Hitachi Vantara (formerly Hitachi Data Systems) and leads the company’s efforts to help customers address data lifecycle and IoT requirements and resolve compliance, governance and operational risk issues. He was instrumental in evangelizing Hitachi’s unique approach to storage virtualization, which builds upon existing storage services within Hitachi Universal Storage Platform® and applies it to externally-attached, heterogeneous storage systems. Prior to joining Hitachi in 1997, Yoshida spent 25 years in IBM’s storage division where he held management roles in hardware performance, software development and product management. He has served on the advisory boards of several technology companies and currently chairs the Scientific Advisory Board for the Data Storage Institute of the Government of Singapore.
