Sean Silverstein, Recruiter for Advanced Travel Nursing
Sean graduated from the University of Oregon with an Environmental Sciences degree in 2013, knowing only that he wanted to help people. The thought that helping rehabilitate our environment would be an excellent avenue toward helping people, motivated him. As a new grad with little work experience and lacking the understanding of how to sell his set of skills and questioning if Environmental Sciences would lead to a career path that aligned with them, he turned to friends to help define the next step. That next step resulted in recruiting for a small but growing travel nursing agency, called “Rise Medical Staffing.” He discovered he loved the people he was working with and found it very rewarding to help nurses find great fitting jobs along the west coast. The agency has since changed its name to “Advanced Travel Nursing” and places nurses nationwide. He has been recruiting for over 3 years. Although he did not expect this to be his career path, he is now enjoying the ride.
