Lauren Mowery
Lauren Mowery is a journalist, award-winning blogger, photographer, and second stage Masters of Wine candidate. She is the Contributing Travel Editor at Wine Enthusiast, and regularly writes about wine, food and travel for Forbes and USA Today. She also spent four years writing wine and coffee columns for New York City paper The Village Voice.
A former Manhattan litigator, she converted to the startup wine industry though Gilt Taste, before becoming a freelancer and traveling across two dozen countries in the last few years. Many of Lauren's articles are featured in Saveur, Wine & Spirits, TimeOut, Tasting Panel, Somm Journal, Virgin Australia's inflight magazine Voyeur, Punch, Alquimie, Lonely Planet, Incisal Edge, Fodor’s.com, Men’s Journal, Palate Press, The Wine Merchant, and Nomacorc’s. Her blog, Chasing the Vine, has earned several awards. Lauren also completed the W.S.E.T. Diploma with honors and worked the 2015 vintage at Paul Cluver Winery Elgin, South Africa.
