Henry Radford
Henry Radford was born in Cartersville, Georgia in 1952. Henry’s father was a proud Morehouse graduate and a Baptist minister and his mother Margaret worked with orphaned children. When he was a teenager, Henry and his parents, John L. and Margaret Radford moved to Chattanooga,Tennessee for better educational opportunities. Henry played running back in high school in Chattanooga and become only the second Black football player to ever receive All-State honors. He attended the University of Miami on football scholarship from 1970-1974. After graduating in 1974, he became a grad assistant coach for two years receiving Masters degrees in History and Education. Henry currently works at a private school for at-risk youth in Miami, FL. In 1996, he started a homeless ministry at St. James Baptist Church. Twenty two years later, Henry continues to Pay It Foward each Saturday by helping more than 50 people of all races, ages, and preferences with meals, clothing, toiletries, and shelter.
