Vicki Salloum


Vicki Salloum was a staff writer for three newspapers: The Daily-Herald in Mississippi, and the Palm Beach Daily News and The Miami Herald, both in Florida. She began writing fiction in her late 30s. Her short stories have been included in the anthologies When I Am An Old Woman I Shall Wear Purple; Pass/Fail: 32 Stories About Teaching; and Voices from the Couch: Stories and Essays of Psychotherapy and Related Issues. An excerpt from her novel in progress, FAULKNER & FRIENDS, appeared in the 2006 anthology Umpteen Ways of Looking at a Possum: Critical and Creative Responses to Everette Maddox. Her debut novella, A PRAYER TO SAINT JUDE, was released in 2012 by Main Street Rag Publishing of Charlotte, North Carolina. Her novels CANDYLAND and WAITING FOR YOU AT MIDNIGHT were published in 2016 and 2018, respectively, by Moonshine Cove of Abbeville, South Carolina.
