Coach Larry Coker

Larry Coker is a former assistant college football coach for Tulsa, University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., Ohio St., and the University of Miami before becoming the Head Coach for University of Miami from 2001-2006. He implemented the football program at University of Texas at San Antonio and became the Head Coach of UTSA from 2009-2015. Coach Coker was 2001 AFCA Coach of the Year and also won the Paul "Bear" Bryant Award in 2001. He was the Big East Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2002. Coach Coker coached NFL pro bowl players Thurman Thomas and Barry Sanders at Oklahoma St. He also coached accomplished NFL players from the UM which include Jeremy Shockey, Andre Johnson, Bryant McKinnie, Edgerrin James, Santana Moss, Clinton Portis, Reggie Wayne, Devin Hester, Frank Gore, Ken Dorsey, Willis McGahee and many other NFL players and top Big East Conference players from UM. Coach Coker won the National Championship in 2001 and the Big East Championship in 2001, 2002, and 2003.
