Hera Bell

Hera Bell

Hera Bell first stepped foot into a darkroom in 1997 during the film era and has never looked back. Instead, she left her highly successful 12-year career in the fashion industry to explore her passion for visual imagery. She has won a number of awards both at home and abroad, and her work has been featured in published books, magazines, ad campaigns and international and local photography exhibitions. (Not to mention that her photos also grace the walls of some very discerning collectors).
So why has the world embraced Hera’s glamour portrait photography? Is it because she is a powerhouse – vivacious, charming, passionate and because she has developed her own signature portrait style. She wields her camera with such ease and freedom, opening the shutter at the exact moment when an emotion, secret or personality rushes to the surface. She has pioneered in 1998 what she defined as “glamour make-over portraits”.
