David Ball, MHIA, BSN, BA
David has only recently dipped his toe into the “Better Angels” group, which travels the country working with groups holding opposing political views, to help people experience respectful and productive communication of differences. He is also currently teaching virtual immersive learning. He began his nursing career in the military and then followed it with civilian training of a BA, BSN, and MHIA. He has a wide variety of experience to back up his teaching as an EMT, Paramedic, and as an RN in CTICU, SICU, MICU, CCU, ED, telemetry and med/surg floors, Interventional Radiology, conscious sedation, and Occupational Health. He has maneuvered his way through the communication mine fields of for-profit and not-for-profit, community and major teaching hospitals, military treatment facilities and VA hospitals. In every area, he needed to learn how to listen and dialogue with others to create clear understanding and learning. Now, he works with "Better Angels" to do the same thing.
