Kathy Nicholson Hull, Psy.D, M.A.

Kathy Hull has been active in clinical psychology for more than thirty-five years. For the last sixteen years, her professional life has been focused on the development of George Mark Children’s House where she is the staff psychologist and president of the Board of Directors. Kathy is an adjunct staff member of Children’s Hospital Oakland, where she was part of an interdisciplinary team that treated oncology patients and their families. Previously, she was a staff member at the Ann Martin Children’s Center, a organization that offers low-fee counseling services to the culturally diverse Oakland community. Among the honors Dr. Hull has received for her philanthropy and humanitarianism are Maria Shriver’s Minerva Award; Purpose Prize Fellow; and the Jefferson Award. In 2016, Kathy delivered a TED Talk which has garnered almost one million views. She is also a Regent Emeritus of Santa Clara University. Kathy is married to Bill Gisvold and has eight offspring and nine grandchildren.
