The focus of Richards’ professional life is to merge outstanding software code with rigorous business logic. He’s a coder who thinks he understands business, masquerading as a serial entrepreneur. In September 2017, He founded voxgig, an event software startup. With the team at Voxgig, he been creating a new social network for the events sector. Alongside voxgig, He writes a weekly newspaper column, ‘Startup Diary’, which comes out on Thursdays in the Irish Independent. Richard is also the author of a new book, 'The Tao of Microservices’, which has just been published by Manning. His first book, 'Mobile Application Development in the Cloud', was published by Wiley in 2011. Previously, Richard co-founded nearForm. Today, nearForm is one of the world’s leading providers of large-scale Node.js and microservices solutions for enterprises.
