Dr. Lud Deppisch
Ludwig M. (Lud) Deppisch is a board certified pathologist who received his undergraduate degree at Fordham University and his medical doctorate at the John Hopkins University School of Medicine. He has been a professor of pathology at three medical universities. Over the past thirty years, Dr. Deppisch combined his knowledge of medicine with an interest in American political history. This led to a Masters in American History from the University of Arizona, numerous lectures and journal articles, and two published books: The White House Physician, and The Health of the First Ladies. His third manuscript, The Women in Andrew Jackson’s Orbit: the Ladies Who Influenced a President was recently picked up for publication by McFarland & Company, Publishers. A native of New York City, Dr. Deppisch now lives in Tucson with his family.
