Alycia Rivas is a fashionista turned sports and entertainment enthusiast by way of the software industry. Sound strange? It is said that people should take the least chosen path. Well, she has taken a road that very few individuals have traveled before. As Senior Director of Global Sponsorships at SAP, Alycia is influencing how companies approach corporate sponsorships, transforming SAP’s sponsorships from a hospitality-focused to a storytelling-focused portfolio. After shifting the global strategy to incorporate authentic and relevant technology showcases in sports, she now leads the Arts, Entertainment & Media vertical. She pioneered never-seen-before fan engagement with Cirque du Soleil and enabled Reuters News to deliver real-time polling data and insights during the 2016 U.S. elections. Alycia joined SAP in 2007 and was able to put her 8 years of retail and fashion industry experience to good use and held key positions in product management and marketing leadership at SAP.
