Jonte Hall, Former Harlem Globetrotter
Growing up in Baltimore, MD, “McCullough Homes Project” was tough! From an early age, I saw alot & it gave me the desire to make a difference no matter my living environment. At 6, my mother gave me my 1st basketball for my birthday. Falling in love with it, I took it everywhere, even to bed! At 9, I played organized basketball. Although my teammates were taller, I accepted I would never be the average height of a basketball player. However, that didn’t stop me, I worked twice as hard to showcase my skills. Fast forward to 2011, I was recognized for my basket skills despite my height (standing tall at 5’2”) when I became an ambassador for, "The World Famous Harlem Globetrotters." We traveled around the world putting smiles on people’s faces, mostly children. I recently stepped down to pursue my life's purpose, continuing to inspire our youth to dream big, no matter the size of their obstacles.
