Dr. John Silver, PhD, RN, Healthcare System Re-structuring
Dr. Silver considers himself a life-long (literally) Philosopher at large and currently a consultant, sought-after speaker at both national and international conferences and brings great passion to education, both for the field of nursing as well as the material being taught. He loves health policy, and has studied it academically for 20 years, building on 30 years of clinical practice, mostly in critical care. His education includes: BS, MSN. Public Intellectual Ph.D in Comparative Studies. Dr. Silver envisions healthcare transitioning into a public utility, which would drastically reduce cost and solve the problems of access, distribution of resources, system re-design, administration, and the rural/urban divide.
