Coach Scott Glabb
Scott Glabb wrestled competitively growing up, while studying to become a teacher. He's taught in the public school system for 34 years, with 29 of those at Santa Ana H.S. in Southern California, a city once ranked number one in the nation for economic hardship. The school's wrestling program was struggling dismally to gain respect. With Glabb's transformational coaching philosophy, he took the team to new heights: 27 straight league championships, 13 southern section titles, and coached state and national champions. He was 2x state wrestling coach of the year and has been inducted into the National and California Wrestling Hall of Fame. Glabb was voted Teacher of the Year for Santa Ana H.S., Educator of the Year for the Santa Ana Unified School District and was a Semi-finalist for the Orange County Teacher of the Year Award. Read about how he turned troubled kids into champs in his book: A Saint in the City: Coaching At-Risk Kids to be Champions.
