James MacKillop
Dr. MacKillop trained as a clinical psychologist at the Binghamton University (State University of New York) and Brown University. His research uses a translational approach to understand the causes of addiction and identify promising new treatments. Dr. MacKillop is the Peter Boris Chair in Addictions Research and the Director of both the Peter Boris Centre for Addictions Research and the Michael G. DeGroote Centre for Medicinal Cannabis Research at McMaster University and St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. He is also a Senior Scientist at Homewood Research Institute.
