Jill Mitchell
She is an oncology social worker with Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Boulder, Colorado. She is also the Psychosocial Research Program Coordinator for the Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers network. Prior to becoming a social worker, Jill completed a doctorate in Medical Anthropology & Psychocultural Studies at UCLA, where her research focused on the experiences of women living with advanced cancer. Presently, in addition to offering individual counseling and support groups for cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones in an outpatient setting, Dr. Mitchell also does research developing new programs to assist patients and survivors to cope with anxiety and distress, and to live more fully, with and beyond cancer.
