Sherry Genga

Sherry Genga

Sherry experienced Barbara’s trauma first-hand, growing up in a small town in Connecticut, she was immersed in a house of domestic violence. Sherry finds her story reflected in her audience. It brings a strong perspective of healing the minds of people locked in living & being damaged by abuse. Her experience writing The Shattered Oak and sharing Barbara’s emotional pain, led her to map out her own path of a more positive life. Sherry wrote this book with the intention of empowering people trapped in domestic abuse, depression, suicide and/or mental illness, to find hope & strength to rewrite their own stories. She offers reassurance they are not alone and that there are resources available. Barbara needs her oak tree to stay strong through the story. Similarly, Sherry finds peace and serenity in nature, experiencing a calming realization that she can respect herself by discovering her clever spirit & unearthing her inner peace. Sherry & Jason Genga have two children Justin & Nicole.
