Venessa D. Abram is an accomplished woman, but her work is not yet done. Venessa encourages others to learn from life’s lessons, as they grow in health and wellness while on their recovery journey. She has held and continues to hold a wealth of positions and certifications courtesy of her education and experience. She is a Certified State NAMI Trainer, having trained various Atlanta Police Departments in Crisis Intervention Training and a Mental Health Instructor at Spelman University. She is also a professional speaker for Introduction to Behavioral Crisis Intervention Training for Youth and Health Disorders and Addictive Diseases. Most notably, she is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Self-Discovery: Pain, Positioning & Purpose, Inc. Founded in 2016, Self-Discovery: Pain, Positioning & Purpose, Inc is non-profit organization devoted to raising awareness on mental illness, mental health, bullying and suicide prevention.
