Donna Zankowski

Donna is an Occupational Health and Safety Consultant in the Washington, D.C. area. She is an advocate for the occupational health and safety of healthcare workers at both the State and Federal Level. Donna began her career as a Nurse Aide in 1976, and she has worked as an RN in acute care, homecare and occupational health. Donna was Co-Chair for the ANA End Nurse Abuse campaign, is on the Maryland Nurses Association Legislative Affairs Committee and is Co-Team Lead for the Maryland Hospital Association and Maryland Nurses Association Commission on workplace violence. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses and is their Legislative Affairs Advisory Group Chairperson, and she frequently presents on workplace violence prevention and legislative advocacy for Nurses. Donna has an Associate degree in Nursing, a bachelor’s in occupational health and safety, and a Master of Public Health in Occupational and Environmental Health. She is proud to be a Nurse.
