Patt Moon-Updike
Patricia graduated from Alverno College School of Nursing in Milwaukee, WI in 2007 with a BSN & a Minor in Psychology. Prior to becoming a nurse, Ms. Moon-Updike was a foster mother to children with special needs. She is a mother to two adopted daughters & two biological sons. She is a member of the Wisconsin Federation of Nurses & Health Professionals Local 5000. Ms. Moon-Updike worked as a nurse in an ICU & in a post-partum mother/ baby unit, specializing in pain management. In 2012, she was hired to provide healthcare in the Milwaukee County Jail, a position she found very educational & rewarding. Following privatization of the jail health services program, she transferred to Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division in 2015. She first served as a psychiatric nurse in the Women’s Treatment Unit & was offered a position in the Child/Adolescent Treatment Unit. She was injured on June 24, 2015 and was unable to return to nursing.
