Marianne Mitchell transforms lives through the presence and practice of abstract art. Her paintings offer a sense of inner harmony while her Artist Mastery practice helps artists develop their authentic voice, skills and confidence so they can be the artist they want to be. Activating artistic expression promotes personal reflection, adaptability and innovation--valuable resources for all visionaries. Marianne has a BFA from Washington University in St. Louis with post-graduate work in Japan, China and the Vermont Studio Center. A mid-Atlantic Arts Fellowship recipient, she has shown nationally and internationally with work in public and private collections in the United States and abroad. In addition to being a nationally known teaching artist at leading art institutions, Marianne has taught The Practice of Making Abstract Art at Drexel University College of Medicine. Marianne resides in Philadelphia PA and maintains a professional presence in Philadelphia and in Denver, CO.
