Craig Larson

Craig Larson

You might say Craig Larson was born to be in banking. When he was a young child, his parents founded what is today Starion Bank when they bought a bank in Oakes, N.D. in 1969. Over the years, Craig served in a variety of roles including operations, customer service and finance; he also sold insurance and ran the investment division. Then, in 1997, he was named CEO, a position he still holds today. Craig is a past president of the Independent Community Banks of North Dakota. He served as president of the Charles Hall Youth Services Foundation Board as well as vice chair for the University of Mary Board of Trustees, where he also served on its Finance and Investment Committees. A committed advocate for family business, he is an active member, and former board chair, of the Prairie Family Business Association.
