Barbara Rubel
Barbara Rubel, MA, BCETS, Diplomate, American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress in collaboration with the National Center for Crisis Management, is an author and keynote speaker. She is a suicide loss survivor, whose focus is on resiliency and she is helpng people cope with life's challenges as a leading thanatologist. Barbara's story was featured in the Emmy Award Winning Documentary: Fatal Mistakes: Families Shattered by Suicide, narrated by Mariette Hartley. Today, Barbara is a chamption for families who are coping with suicide loss. Rubel has pioneered a unique approach to addressing suicide postvention and vicarious trauma. She is author of the book, "But I Didn't Say Goodbye: Helping Families After a Suicide." This book is in its third edition.
