Derek R Dyer is the Managing Partner for the C5MI business transformation firm. C5MI solves manufacturing, supply chain, and asset maintenance business challenges by merging people, process and technology. Derek Dyer spent 17 years at John Deere working in a variety of leadership positions across Information Technology, manufacturing, and supply chain. After leaving John Deere, Derek became an independent consultant as an SAP HANA evangelist working with firms to adopt the new technology to drive exponential business benefit. Derek joined Caterpillar as an IT executive where he held primary responsibility for a majority of the company’s IT applications. In 2017, along with his business partner, Derek started C5MI to fill a market need for business practitioners that can effectively span across the intersection of business process excellence, information technology, and operational technology.
