Dean Eller
Dean is a Fresno California native who spent 27 years in the Mortgage Banking industry as a Senior Vice President of Retail Production. In November of 1999, Dean was appointed President and CEO of the Central California Blood Center fulfilling not only a desire to lead the Blood Center but also a promise he made to his 21 year old daughter the night she died that “he would carry on the work she started”. Dean’s daughter Jenny was a spokesperson for the Blood Center speaking to civic groups and anyone else who would listen on the need to give blood and how she was kept alive for nearly 4 years through the generous donations of blood donors. Jenny died on Oct. 28, 1995. Two days after her death, Dean gave his first speech on behalf of the Blood Center and became their Chief Ambassador and volunteer until his appointment as CEO. To those who know him, Dean’s passion for the Blood Center’s mission of saving lives has no equal. Dean previously had oversight of 3 centers.
