Dr. Gary Slutkin is the renowned epidemiologist who recognized Violence as a Contagious Disease and founder of Cure Violence, ranked 1st among organizations devoted to reducing violence. His work has been featured in the NY Times, books, a TED talk,and documentaries like “The Interrupters.” He has appeared on The PBS News Hour, CNN, 60 Minutes and dozens of other television and radio stations. He is quoted regularly in the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, USA Today, The Guardian, etc. His awards include the U.S. Attorney General’s Award for Public Safety and the UNICEF Humanitarian of the Year Award. He speaks regularly at local, national and global forums including The World Bank, Institute of Medicine, The World Economic Forum, The UN, and more. He is a senior advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO).
