Robert Grigore

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Robert Grigore (AKA The Celebrity Saviour) was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist in the band Earthbound George. His early creativity was encouraged, yet he felt pressured to become a doctor like his father, or a lawyer like his cousins. Motivated to chart his own course, Robert began with fine art, then picked up the guitar to learn to play Black Sabbath's Iron Man, then tested his vocal cords with Green Day's "Good Riddance." Music and art were his first therapies, helping him survive trauma, domestic violence, and suicidal feelings. His band played around Vancouver, BC at The Roxy, Backstage Lounge, and The Railway Club, where k.d. lang and The Tragically Hip had graced the stage. After an independent label and a manager approached his band, Robert made the difficult decision to step away and channel his creativity into psychotherapy. He hopes to one day return to music in a big way. GrigoreCounselling.com/myjourney FB: @thecelebritysaviour
