Scott Runner is currently the Global Vice President of Connected Mobility Services and Intelligent Embedded Systems for Capgemini. In this role, his team is responsible for the embedded hardware and software systems that form software-defined vehicles. This includes Connected Mobility Systems which connect passenger & commercial vehicles through 5G and satellite networks to the cloud and provide over-the-air updates of new functionality in DevOps cycle times. Prior to Altran, Scott helped form Qualcomm’s automotive hardware team, after his 8-year tenure as Vice President of Verification and Validation of Snapdragon SmartPhone chips, originating with the industry's FIRST integrated smartphone chipset. With over 30 years of experience in HW and SW engineering and business development, Scott has worked in both product and service companies, and brought over 80 products to market which generated tens of billions of dollars in revenue. He holds a degree in Physics from Georgia Tech.
