Kimberly Wong

Kimberly C. Wong, LCSW has over 3 decades of experience both in community social work and in private practice. Ms. Wong received her MSW from UCLA in 1993. At UCLA she was an active member of the MSW API Caucus, Lesbian & Gay Caucus, and Feminist Caucus. She has a private practice, specializing in trauma, with extensive experience working with survivors of sexual & domestic violence. She has expertise in addiction, relationships, and LGBTQ affirmative psychotherapy. Ms. Wong uses a multicultural, feminist & empowerment approach and brings an understanding of how layers of culture and society shape individuals. She is a Certified Trauma Resiliency Model Practitioner & Facilitator. Committed to community social work, she has worked with the LA Commission on Assaults Against Women, as a volunteer, then as Director of Counseling. At AHF she worked with people living with HIV/AIDS as a Social Worker and Director of Social Services. She has served as a clinical supervisor for multiple community organizations including POV, the LA Gay & Lesbian Center, and the Asian American Drug Abuse Program. As a member of the LA County Domestic Violence Council’s LGBT Issues Committee, she contributed to an LGBT DV resource guide. Ms. Wong has served as coordinator of the Pasadena CSCSW, board member of GAMHPA, and member of the TRI Equity Diversity & Inclusion committee where she highlights an intersectional approach and diversity related to LGBTQ, API, and gender.
