George ` Weisz
George has a distinguished, diverse career in business enterprise, public service, and non-profits. He serves as Board Chair of Scottsdale Community Bank (in organization) which just received the valued conditional approval by the FDIC to become Arizona’s first new community bank in 12 years. He has also co-owned 3 minor league baseball teams, is a partner with an NBA star in sports restaurants, and is a partner in high-tech start-ups. George also serves as a government affairs consultant. His honored public service includes serving as a member of the Arizona House of Representatives, where he was judged by his peers as one of the 10 most effective legislators in the state, and serving as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Senior Assistant to the Mayor of Phoenix, and over 20 years as a Special Agent in organized crime intelligence for 4 Attorneys General receiving several commendations. George has served on the board of numerous charitable/civic organizations and received various awards for community leadership. He served as Chair of the 100 Club which provides resources to families of police officers and firefighters who were severely injured or died in the line of duty, Chair of the Maricopa County Sports Authority, and member of the National Council of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Voice For Victims, Foundation for the Handicapped, and others. He was also named a Community Hero and given the honor of carrying the Olympic Torch for two Olympics.
