Divine Garland is a freelance artist who began his performance training at The Urban Assembly school for the Performing Arts, where he studied music theater and dance. He then went on to receive his BFA in dance performance in May of 2019 from Montclair State University (MSU). He has performed works by Frederick Earl Mosley, Bill T. Jones, Shapiro and Smith, Maxine Steinman and Christian von Howard. Although he pursued dance in college, Divine worked closely with Epic Theatre Ensemble on various projects such as “Caged Bird,” an original play produced by Epic Theatre Ensemble, and other original works including “Untitled,” a solo work about acceptance, mentored by Nilaja Sun. Divine is thrilled to join The TEAM in retelling the exciting story of Perseus via “GodCast.” Currently acting Perseus on “Live From Mount Olympus”, produced by the ONASSIS FOUNDATION and TRAX from PRX.
