Abbe Luersman
Abbe Luersman is the (soon to be) EVP and Chief People Officer for Otis Worldwide Corp. As a part of the Otis Executive Leadership Team, Abbe will be responsible for the global Human Resources function. Primary area of focus: development and delivery of the people strategy - inclusive of: Talent & Diversity, Leadership, Learning & Development, Organizational Effectiveness & Development, Total Rewards and Communications. Prior to Otis Worldwide Corp., Abbe was the CHRO for Ahold Delhaize for 5.5 years and for Ahold, prior to the merger with Delhaize, an additional 2.5 years. Ahold Delhaize is an international retailing group with strong local consumer brands in Europe and the United States with ~€75bn in revenue, 414,000 associates and serving over 54 million customers in store and 20 million online weekly. Prior to Ahold Delhaize and Ahold, Abbe spent 6.5 years with Unilever where she held two distinct roles, SVP Unilever Europe + SVP HR Transformation & Strategy. Abbe sits on the Board of Directors for CAROO, as well as she is Co-Chair and on the Board of Directors for Gartner’s CHRO Global Leadership Board, and is Vice Chair and on the Board of Directors for NEW, Network of Executive Women. Abbe has a Bachelor & Masters of Art in Human & Organizational Development, both from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Abbe is married to her husband, Paul, and they have a 17 year-old daughter named Emma.
