Her expertise in Chinese Medicine is shaped by additional study in women’s health, pain relief, pediatrics, oncology, mental health, and gastrointestinal health. Ruth is an advocate of healthy living, coaching and supporting her patients on food choices, skin care regimens, nutritional supplements, and living with a minimal impact on the earth. Ruth began studying aboriginal traditions and medicine in 1988. By learning ancient aboriginal techniques of survival, she discovered the unparalleled power of wild, edible medicinal plants. This led to her interest in herbal medicine, developing expertise in Native American, Chinese, Wise Woman and European/Western traditions. It was her experience with these ancient traditions combined with her own personal healing story stemming from a childhood wrought with ill health that led Ruth to pursue the study of Chinese Medicine. Ruth is also a coach, speaker, and leader of leaders in the Unblinded Movement.
