Bridget Baron
Bridget is a rising sophomore at TC Williams High School in Alexandria, VA and an advocate with and founding of the student-led organization Standing For Tomorrow. Her journey with advocacy began with the discovery of mushrooms growing out of the wall next to her seat in her seventh grade biology classroom. She would spend the next eighteen months researching the health effects of mold, assisting with the documentation of mold in her school building, writing emails and presentation scripts, and giving presentations in front of public officials at both the state and local level. Her and her group’s efforts paid off on April 7, 2020 when a bill imposing regulations on mold in Virginia public schools, sponsored by her local state Senator, was signed into law.
