Ben Delnegro
Ben Delnegro is a rising 10th grader at Alexandria City High School. He is a founding member of Standing For Tomorrow, a student-run organization that seeks to bring health and equality to schools all across the nation. Through his work with Standing For tomorrow, he has presented to many important figures at both the local and state level; gathered over 2,000 signatures from local citizens in support of the group's work; and received support and guidance from several important stakeholders and policymakers. All of this culminated in the group being able to pass a bill at the state level that required schools to test for mold, and if found, remediate it. Ben is continuing to work with Standing For Tomorrow to inspire the next generation and show the importance of youth voice, as well as continue to fight for climate justice in school buildings.
