Brennan Wong

Brennan Wong is passionate about scaling solutions for the world's greatest challenges, a purpose he’s had since his early youth. Nearly 10 years ago, he founded Pledges for Change, a non-profit with a mission to mobilize young people to volunteer. Through initiatives ranging from volunteer fairs to multi-day hackathons, the organization has reached 10,000+ young people with support from over 100 community partners. In 2018, Pledges for Change launched its Pilots Program to rapidly design, test, and scale innovative youth volunteer programming that the broader non-profit community could leverage. In recognition of his efforts, Brennan has been recognized as a Global Citizen Youth Advocate (2017), Global Changemaker (2016), and one of Canada's Top 20 Under 20 (2014). He also had the opportunity to join the 30-member Canadian delegation to the 2017 G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Alliance Summit to advocate for greater support for young social entrepreneurs. A graduate of the Ivey Business School at Western University, he was one of a few to be awarded $90,000+ in scholarships for academic achievement, demonstrated community leadership, and commitment to community service. In 2019, interning at the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing, Brennan explored the use of social finance as a tool to accelerate social innovation. Currently, he is at McKinsey & Company, primarily serving clients in the areas of strategy, transformation, and sustainability.
