Don Estes
Don Estes is a Senior Principal at Maven Wave Partners, an Atos Company based in United States. He was previously President of Don Estes & Associates. He has more than 40 years of experience in IT, the majority of which has been focused on managing the business and technical risks in large-scale, legacy software system transformations, with a focus on integration with new technologies. Don has done extensive work in the areas of data migration and transitional architecture design, legacy software modernization and replacement, business process management, solution architecture, test automation and risk optimized testing, enterprise application integration, project design and management, IT risk analysis, and business-IT alignment. He has delivered work for clients in the private and public sector. Don was granted a patent for “Method and System for Dynamic Business Rule Extraction” and has a patent pending for a “Method and System for Data Synchronization”. Don’s writings have brought a theoretical and practical perspective to extracting the value of legacy software system portfolios. He served as Editor of the Cutter IT Journal, contributing writer, and Cutter Summit speaker. Don holds a degree in physics from MIT and a master's degree in psychology from the University of Texas.
