Shalimar Adorno

Shalimar Adorno is Assistant Vice President at Global Infrastructure Partners and serves as senior advisor to the firm’s Vice Chairman. From 2015 until February, 2019, Shalimar served as Senior Operations Officer and Special Assistant to the President of the World Bank Group, overseeing daily operations of the President’s office and supervising all support staff and a team of 10 deputized executive protection security agents. Shalimar is featured in René Carayol’s best-selling book SPIKE, a guide to Strength-Based Leadership for executives and leaders across industries. In her chapter titled “Have Faith in Opportunities”, she shares moments of triumph, despair, and faith from her life and career, which received critical acclaim for its authenticity and lessons for success. A native of New York City (Bronx), Shalimar previously worked at the Cisneros Group family office, Jefferies Group, and UBS Investment Bank, where she cultivated her ability to advise and work with principals from senior executives to heads of state. She holds a BA in Spanish from Pennsylvania State University and a Certificate in Leadership & Organizational Development from New York University. She is currently completing a Certificate in Leadership Coaching at Georgetown University's Institute of Transformational Leadership.
