Sergeant Waleska Gonzalez

Bio: Waleska Gonzalez was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and came to US at the age of 7. She was raised in Norristown Pennsylvania and attended schools in the Norristown School District. Waleska is a single mother of two girls ages 12 and 15 and now resides in Upper Pottsgrove Twp, Montgomery County. Waleska joined the United States Army at 17 years old and later attended Kathrine Gibbs School accelerated program where she received her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. In 2006 Waleska worked for the Pennsylvania State Police as a Police Communications Dispatcher until 2010 when she joined the ranks as a uniformed Trooper. Waleska is the first Puerto Rican female to ever join the ranks of the Pennsylvania State Police since its creation in 1905. She was promoted to the rank of Corporal in 2018 and was a Patrol Supervisor in Troop-K Philadelphia and a Hostage Negotiator in the Special Emergency Response Team. Waleska Gonzalez took a position as the Community Affairs Eastern Section Supervisor in the Office of Community Engagement and now recently promoted to Sergeant as a District Office Commander of Liquor Enforcement
