Maria McCool is a CEO, stylist, salon owner, product creator, author, QVC brand ambassador, and lover of all things hair. She founded Calista with the goal of helping women feel great about themselves and their beauty every day of their lives, or as she calls it, BeautyBrave. Maria opened Calista Salon & Spa in West Chester, PA in 1989, when she was just 23 years old. After years of hearing complaints from frustrated clients about wanting salon-quality results at home, Maria decided to create a line of products and tools to give them just that. Calista Salon grew into a brand and launched on QVC with major success in 2007. Since then, Calista remains a top-selling beauty brand on QVC and has continued to expand, providing hair products and tools to women across the nation and continuing Maria’s mission to help all women feel brave about their beauty.
