Alan Katz
Alan Katz is a beloved children’s author and all-around creative talent. He has written more than 50 highly acclaimed books for kids including Take Me Out of the Bathtub and Other Silly Dilly Songs, Ricky Vargas: The Funniest Kid in the World, and The Day the Mustache Took Over. Some of his most recent works include the three books in his Lieography series, the Awesome Achievers book duo, the Society of Substitutes series, and Misty the Cloud – a picture book written with The Today Show’s Dylan Dreyer. Alan is also a writer and producer with extensive television credits. He is a six-time Emmy-nominated writer for TV series including The Rosie O’Donnell Show, PBS Kids’ Pinkalicious, and numerous Nickelodeon shows. He has written advertising campaigns and slogans for companies including I Can’t Believe it’s Not Butter, Nickelodeon, and McDonalds. He has penned humorous essays for the New York Times. He hosted a long-running game show on SiriusXM’s Kids Place Live channel and has created comic books, trading cards, theme park shows, and hundreds of other projects for kids! Alan has received many awards for children’s literature, and he speaks at literacy conferences and schools across the country. He is now developing two game shows with Howie Mandel’s production company based on concepts he created. Alan lives in Connecticut with his journalist wife, Rose, and their four wonderful children.
