Jon Cunha, LMHC earned his Master's from Lesley University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Jon is the Co-Owner of Riser and Tread, a company dedicated to helping young guys ages 9-25 "Step Up + Move Forward." Jon's passion lies in working with athletes around issues of prehab (preventative care), injury, performance and identity. Jon was a three time All-American in Track and Field at Wheaton College, MA until injury ended his aspirations of pursuing it as a career. That experience helped motivate him towards wanting to support others going through something similar. Jon developed a training program for athletes, coaches, and organizations to strengthen mental fitness and resolve by focusing on prehab. Along with his clinical license, Jon also coached Track and Field for almost a decade. He combines the benefits of therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), with athletic coaching principles, such as goal + fear setting, purpose development, and breath training.
