Steve Campbell

Steve Campbell serves as Vice President of Communications for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League. Under his leadership, the Colts were honored with the Pete Rozelle Award by the Pro Football Writers Association in 2020 as the NFL’s top communications team. Campbell served as Deputy Mayor of Indianapolis from 2005 to 2008, where he directed city operations in neighborhood development and outreach, constituent services, communications, environmental affairs and public access to government. As the city’s Director of Communications from 2000 to 2008, Campbell was Indianpolis’ chief marketing and communications officer and the city’s spokesperson with local, national and international media. He began his career as a top media advisor to two Indiana governors and the state attorney general. He has served as a senior associate instructor at the IUPUI Department of Journalism and Public Relations, a contributing columnist for the Indianapolis Business Journal, an on-air analyst for WISH-TV and WXIN-TV and a frequent public speaker on media, communications and policy. Campbell is a graduate of Wabash College and the Indiana University School of Law.
